Naviate for Civil 3D 27.1 Release News

Release News for Naviate Base  27.1, released on Civil 3D 2025 and Civil 3D 2026 and Civil 3D 2027.

 

Naviate

When starting the command Naviate to load CUIx-files, it now has the ability for multiple CUIx-files to be set as default. In the Naviate Support folder, in the file Naviate-Support-xml, there are configuration possibilities for the Load Naviate command. 

Command List

The Naviate Command List is now started when a new drawing is started. This dialog gives the user a searchable interfaced with information and location for all Naviates tools. The user can save tools to a Favourites List to quickly find the reference information for the most used commands.

The Command List now display relevant links for commands, such as link to Feature of the Week for that command or to Webinars where the command have been demonstrated. 

The auto-start can be disabled by toggling 'Auto-Start Naviate Command List' in the dialog. 

Objects On Off                       

When using Objects On Off on Point Groups that have been created with NvGeotech-commands, the On/Off settings can be controlled from the Point Groups. See more info on Release News for Naviate Geotech. 

Objects On Off has been updated with the ability to turn on and off Sample Lines, Section View groups and Assemblies. 

Create Viewframes             

Fixed an issue where if you set a new starting number, the sequence was not done correct.

Fixed an issue where when switching between files, the dialog tried and failed to remember the view frame block. 

Fixed an issue where the dropdown where a Layout is selected was not alphabetically sorted. Also, if the Layout already contains Property Set information, that information is brought in as well. 

Create Sheets - Configure Viewports

The configure viewports command is now updated to automatically configure viewports on the Layout that has Viewport Type set. If Viewport Type is set to Undefined, the Viewport Property Set is added and set to Undefined. The Config command can then be used as before to set the desired configuration. 

Fixed an issue where the view was left in a UCS after zooming, the command now returns to WCS at the end. 

Zoom View Frame

Zoom View Frame is a new command that will zoom and rotate the view to an selected object. The command can be used in both Model and Layout view. 

Report Surface volumes by point     

Fixed an issue where Base and Comparison surface was switched. Also updated the command so that Comparision Surface can be selected in a dialog.

Report Surface Volume    

Added a recompute message that is displayed when the command is working. 

Fixed an issue where solids where not created in specific Alignment intervals.
