More Quick Wall Slots

A feature that was previously available only in the Revit 2026 version of Bimfire is now also available in the 2025 and 2027 versions.

The number of available requirement family slots has been increased from 6 to 9, giving users greater flexibility when configuring requirements. Requirement families can be assigned through Quick Wall Settings and are accessible directly from the Revit ribbon.

Connect Family and Quick Connection 

Connect Family and Quick Connection now support all Revit categories. Previously, these features were limited to a subset of categories, which could cause issues when connecting requirements to elements such as roofs or ceilings.

Quick Connection still includes the option to restrict selection to openings only when needed.

Wall Width Parameter and Requirement Family Update

When a Wall Requirement is assigned to a wall, the wall's width is now automatically copied to a parameter that scales the requirement width accordingly. This behavior supports compliance with certain local standards and can be disabled if needed. Any clash detection with these requirements will now be more accurate as well.

Existing Wall Requirement families that use a text-based Wall Width parameter remain fully supported in Bimfire. However, all new Bimfire Revit templates will include the updated Wall Requirement families with the new width-synchronization functionality.

Additional Delivery Information Support in Receiver

Previously released for some versions, this feature is now available across all supported versions.

Users can now include additional delivery information when importing data from a Bimfire model using the Receiver. The following Revit Project Information parameters are supported:

• NVFireDeliveryInfo
• NVAcousticDeliveryInfo
• NVSecurityDeliveryInfo

When the Receiver imports data from a Bimfire model, it reads the value of these parameters and copies them to the corresponding parameter in the receiving model, along with a timestamp indicating when the import occurred.

This feature can be used to communicate important delivery information, such as project status, review status, draft versions, or other notes related to the imported requirements.

• Quick Wall - Now supports Security Devices.
• Tag Evacuation Symbols - Now supports Plumbing Equipment, Plumbing Fixtures, Site.

Bimfire Template Updates

Several improvements have been made to the Naviate Bimfire Templates.

Sweden

• Updated NV_ExternalFireSpreadWindow with two different width parameter for sides and top/Bottom
• Changed category for NV_Cutcube, NV_CutCubeL & NV_CutCylinder to Pier, and edited the family to enable being able to cut wall compartments again. Removed that piers are exported with IFC.
• Created an NV_Insatsplan symbol.
• Updated and fliped the EfterlysandeSkyltRullstol's diagonal.
• Updated thumbnail for undefined wall requirement.
• Updated Safe Refuge family, was bugs when changes sizes.
• Added new families from Informationsmodell för digitalt brandskydd.
• Renamed the diamond shaped Door/Window Requirements to old_Door/WindowRequirements, instead the new will only have text for doors and a text with border for windows - Still following SIS Bygghandlingar 10.11, and harmonising with other regions.
• Added families NV_Dörrstängare,NV_Plattformshiss, and added same parameters into the project and assigned to doors.
• Updated WallRequirement families, so NVWallWidth has been changed from a text parameter to a length parameter, now it's possible to add realistic thickness automatically from global, individually width instead of uniform. ATM doesn't work with adaptive, due to they don't have any thickness for curved walls. Works with the Soffit adaptive family. Control all via Global parameters.
• Removed Fire_EvacuationRouteDirection/AccessPointDirection,and added NV_Angreppsväg, NV_Utrymningsväg & NV_FrångängligUtrymningsväg.
• Changed WallRequirement control parameters from Shared to Family parameter, this removes the parameters from schedules and cleans up the model.
• Added a view filter on views for sheets to hide all section type who are not SectionsForSheets,, turned off Matchline by default.
• Added families for Insatsplaner, and created tags to be used for floor plans. There are now also View Types for Insatsplan which uses view filters to filter away all components who doesn't have a value on the parameter NVInsatsplan. Add a parameter on space for colouring the spaces, NVInsatsplanRumsfunktion
• Adding the parameter "Fire_FamilyTagMapping" as a family parameter instead of a project parameter, enabling the possibility to move the symbols to the custom templates without having to enter the values again. Same way the tags works. Removed the project parameter Fire_FamilyTagMapping.
• Added a new viewtype, "Coordination - By Linked Views", which by default only show wall compartmentation, which can be used by i.e. Architects when linking regulatory models and easily show minimum requirements in their views. See 00 ADMIN -> 03 BY LINKED VIEW in project browser.
• Updated ColumnRequirement family, control the size of the plan symbol with one parameter now instead of 1_S, 1_M & 1_L.
• Added more sizes for some tags such as NV_FireProtectionTag_FireReqFireRatingWall, enabling more flexibility in drawing design.
• Updated all Fire alarm devices with the prefix Fire_, added a parameter "NVVisibleOnEvacuationPlan" so the new Insatsplans symbols don't get tagged on evacuation plans. All values with not "Yes" will be hidden in the floor plan. So all Fire_ symbols has default value "No".
• Changed name on "Base Level" to "Default Level" after user feedback.

Norway

• Changed category for NV_Cutcube, NV_CutCubeL & NV_CutCylinder to Pier, and edited the family to enable being able to cut wall compartments again. Removed that piers are exported with IFC.
• Updated Safe Refuge family, was bugs when changes sizes.
• Linked new 3924:2024 families to ISO 7010:2020 tags for evacuation plans.
• Updated WallRequirement families, so NVWallWidth has been changed from a text parameter to a length parameter, now it's possible to add realistic thickness automatically from global, individually width instead of uniform. ATM doesn't work with adaptive, due to they don't have any thickness for curved walls. Works with the Soffit adaptive family. Control all via Global parameters.
• Changed 1_S / 1_M / 1_L on the new 3924:2024 symbols to the correct size, so they are called something like 500x500, 750x750, 1.5mm etc..
• Updated Fluktveier, Angreppsvei and Huvedangrepsvei arrow design.

Denmark

Improved compatibility with other Revit add-ins

We have made background changes to reduce the risk of conflicts when running Naviate applications alongside other Revit plugins.

Previously, a shared software component (System.Text.Json) could clash with the same component used by other add-ins, in some cases causing Naviate products or other plugins to stop working. We have removed this dependency to lower the risk of such conflicts occurring.

Please note: While this update significantly reduces the likelihood of compatibility issues, it does not eliminate all possible conflicts with third-party plugins. If you experience any issues, please contact our support team.
