Naviate Nebula 1.7.1 Release Notes

2 min. readlast update: 01.30.2026

Naviate Nebula continues to strengthen how project teams manage, protect, and move their data across Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM 360 environments. By expanding automation, enhancing control over version history, and simplifying cross project collaboration, this release gives organisations a more reliable and efficient way to keep their project information connected and always accessible. With smarter syncing, automated transfer of file attributes, and improved data ownership workflows, Nebula helps teams reduce manual effort, minimise risk, and maintain a single source of truth—so they can focus on delivering better project outcomes instead of managing technical data processes.

New Features & Enhancements

Smarter Permission & Role Mapping

When selecting a destination folder, Nebula now validates your Autodesk folder permissions to ensure transfers can be completed successfully.

Permission-Aware Transfers

Transfers now correctly handle users with limited or view-only access, displaying clear and informative messages instead of failing silently.

Upload Permission Validation

You can now proceed with a transfer only if you have Upload (or higher) permissions on the selected destination folder, preventing invalid transfers.

Industry Role Recreation Checks

Nebula verifies whether you have sufficient rights to recreate Industry Roles between projects:

·       If Full Control permissions are missing on the destination folder, a clear on-screen message is shown.

·       The role-mapping toggle is automatically disabled when permissions are insufficient.

Improved Role Transfers Within the Same Hub

Roles are now transferred correctly even when both source and destination projects reside within the same hub.

Clearer Transfer Failure Logs

Transfer logs now explicitly state when a failure occurs due to view-only permissions on the source folder (for example, when files cannot be downloaded).

Revit Cloud Workflow Improvements

Revit Version Visibility

For Revit cloud/workshared models uploaded from March 2021 onward, the Revit version year is now visible directly in:

·       The main grid

·       Tooltips

·       The file properties sidebar

This makes it easier to select the correct model year before transfer.

Improved Revit Link Handling

Linked Revit cloud models are now correctly re-linked even if the linked model is renamed at the destination, ensuring links remain intact in Revit.

Security Updates & Other Improvements

Enhanced API Security

Nebula APIs now include authentication and user context for endpoints, improving the protection of user-related data.

Expanded Portuguese Translations

Additional phrases have been translated into Portuguese, including transfer-related dates and status messages.

Minor Bug Fixes

Fixed a minor issue related to grid selection behavior.
