New Features & Enhancements

Issues transfer - Beta release

This version adds the ability to transfer Issues from BIM360 & Forma Data Management (FMD, formerly ACC) Hubs / Projects to FDM Hubs / Projects. The current capabilities and limitations are listed below.

Capabilities:

Core Issue data is transferred along with the following metadata:

  • Attachments
  • Pin placement in files / models
  • References - Files only
  • Comments
  • Activity log - as a comment

Limitations:

The following limitations apply:

  • Issues can be transferred from BIM360 or Forma (ACC) sources to Forma (ACC) destinations. BIM360 is not supported as a destination project.
  • Any missing metadata on the destination (e.g. Companies, Users, Locations, Root Causes, etc.) cannot be created and will be blank. Please ensure the destination project is configured appropriately before transferring to avoid data gaps. Omissions are recorded in the Log File for reference.
  • Pin placements do not work for 2D files in Forma (ACC) due to a limitation on Autodesk side. Pin placement in 3D models does work.
  • Issue Numbers on the destination will not match the source number. The log file records the source details for traceability and a future update will add a Comment to the destination for easier reference.
  • References to other Issues, RFI's, Assets, Photo's are not transferred
  • Comments will show the User Name & Date/Time of the transfer. The original Name and Date are included in the body of the comment.
  • The Activity log cannot be recreated in the same way, it is added as a comment instead.
  • If referenced files already exist on the destination project they may be incorrectly renamed in some circumstances. This will be corrected in a future update.
